- Opposing Tax Increases – Eliminate taxpayers' earned income to fund wasteful government programs.
- Protecting Proposition 13 – Provide safe haven for homeowners from paying higher taxes property
taxes. I will protect homeowners from special interest group attacks on, or weakening of Proposition
13.
- Opposing new tax levies on electronic/digital services such as I-Tunes, I-pods and I-Phones, digital
down loads, online services, software, etc.
- Opposing tax levies on accounting, legal and medical services.
- Improving E-Service response time for Taxpayers and Businesses. Ensure that the BOE is tax-payer
friendly, saving time, money and ease of access to the Agency's tax system that allows taxpayers to
electronically access their records timely and conveniently.
- Expediting agency response time to taxpayers – the BOE should respond to taxpayer's request within
a set time table set by the Board.
- Opposing new and burdensome BOE supported tax legislation that increases tax on residents and
small businesses to balance the state budget.
- Creating a new, user-friendly feedback system to allow taxpayers to express their concerns about
their tax issues directly to each member of the BOE.
- Proposing the same interest rate between government and taxpayers -- A taxpayer should be paid the
same return interest as part of the refund that the state charges the taxpayer.
- Advocating for more funding from sales tax revenues for education, public safety, transportation,
housing, health services, social services, and natural resource management.
